Castel Gandolfo

Castel Gandolfo is known worldwide as the pope’s summer residence, but it is also a very charming village, with Lake Albano lending it a lakeside atmosphere that is much loved by Romans. The village has been named one of the most beautiful in Italy.

Must-see:

• The Papal Palace, its gardens, and its observatory — Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. (last admission at 4:30 p.m.) — Tickets starting at €14.00 depending on the package selected, the age of the participants, and the size of the group (reduced rate for ages 6–18; free for children under 6).
• The Collegiate Church of San Tommaso da Villanova, designed by Bernini — Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; open on Saturdays and Sundays only when there are no services. Free admission.
• The 16th-century Roman Gate.
• Diane's Baths.
• The ruins of the ancient palaces of Castel Gandolfo.

To-do:

Frascati

Frascati is one of the Castelli Romani, known for its white wine and its villas built in the 16th and 17th centuries by the most famous architects and artists of the time.

• Villa Aldobrandini (viewable only from the outside).
• Villa Falconieri — every Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free admission.

To-do:

Genzano

This quaint little town is located along the Via Appia, on the slope of an ancient crater where Lake Nemi now lies.

Must-see:

• The Sforza Cesarini Palace, surrounded by a vast, centuries-old park—open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets: €5.00 (reduced rate for those over 65 and ages 8–18: €4.00; free for children under 8). Additional garden admission: +€2.00.
• The Capuchin Church — open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Crypt tour: €10.50 (reduced rate: €7.00 for seniors over 65 and youth up to age 18). Free admission to the church.
• The Church of the Santissima Trinità — open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Free admission.

To-do:

• The Infiorata Festival, held in May, during which the main street is completely covered by a 2,000-square-meter carpet of flowers.
• Enjoy a picnic in the Sforza Palace Park.

Ariccia

Also located along the Via Appia, Ariccia is an artistic gem of the Castelli Romani. For food lovers, this village is famous for its “fraschette,” where you can enjoy the delicious porchetta d’Ariccia (roasted suckling pig with herbs)!

Must-see:

• Palazzo Chigi, designed by Bernini — opening hours vary depending on the areas visited. Tickets start at €9.00, depending on the package selected, the age of the participants, and the size of the group (reduced rate for ages 6–18; free for children under 6).
• The Collegiata of Santa Maria Assunta, inspired by the Pantheon in Rome—open daily from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Free admission.

To-do:

• Organize a traditional meal at one of the city's fraschette.
• Take part in the Porchetta “Sagra” during the first week of September and try a porchetta sandwich—simple but delicious.

Nemi

The village is built in an amphitheater-like formation on the steep slopes of a crater filled by Lake Nemi.

Must-see:

• Palazzo Ruspoli — open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets: €15.00 (reduced rate for ages 5 to 15; free for children under 5).

• Wild Strawberry Festival in June (the town's specialty).

Albano Laziale

This picturesque town in the Castelli Romani region lies on the shores of Lake Albano.

Must-see:

• The majestic Baroque-style San Pancrazio Cathedral—open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Free admission.
• The Romanesque church of Santa Maria della Rotonda — by reservation only. Rates available upon request.
• The Cisternone, an underground reservoir built by Septimius Severus and still used to supply water to the city—by reservation only. Rates available upon request.
• The Roman amphitheater — by reservation only.
• The Tomb of the Horatii and the Curiatii — open daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free admission.

• Buy traditional fresh pasta at a local pasta shop.
• Bike tour from Rome.

Prices include custom itinerary planning by our team and the services of a certified guide for the selected duration, but do not include any headphones, admission tickets, meals, activities, or transfers—all of which can be included in the final quote to ensure your tour is free of unpleasant surprises.

• The type of group or event (family trip, trip with friends, celebration, seminar).
• Location: The address of your lodging or the event venue in Rome.
• Your reference budget (either an overall budget for the entire service or a budget specific to the experience).
• Your needs for additional services (accommodations, transportation, photographer, decorations, etc.).

1. Requests and Reservation Processes

• Initial Contact with Our Team: To ensure thorough follow-up, all requests (quotes, availability, reservations, and logistics) are handled exclusively via email (info@beyondroma.com) or through our online form. For organizational reasons, we will not process any requests by phone, text message, or WhatsApp.
• Response Times: As a general rule, you will receive a response within 72 business hours (Monday through Friday). However, this timeframe is suspended during the agency’s annual closure (the period between Christmas and New Year’s Day).
• Create Your Itinerary: Would you like to combine several activities? Simply click the “heart” icon to add activities to your favorites and send us a single request that includes them all.
• Need a turnkey trip? If your project requires a comprehensive proposal that includes finding accommodations, please fill out our dedicated form in its entirety.
• Advance Notice Required (No Last-Minute Requests): To ensure seamless planning, we are unable to handle last-minute requests. All requests must be submitted at least 3 business days (Monday through Friday) in advance. Without this advance notice, we will unfortunately be unable to process your request.
• Reservations: We recommend making a reservation at least 10 business days in advance (15 business days for groups of more than 50 people), subject to availability.
• Reservations: Reservations must be made by email or through our contact form at least 3 business days in advance, subject to availability.

2. Payment Terms

• Reservation Confirmation: The reservation is not definitively confirmed until we receive the advance payment and proof of payment. No reservation is guaranteed until payment is received.
• Accepted payment methods:
  • Bank transfer (SEPA): Free (subject to the terms and conditions of your own bank and the country of origin).
  • Credit card: Through our fully secure online payment system (Stripe platform). Please note that a 3.9% fee applies to credit card payments made through the secure Stripe system.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Deposit and Agency Fees: In the event of a complete cancellation of your event, the deposit paid at the time of booking is retained by the agency and is non-refundable. This deposit serves to guarantee your firm reservation of the date, which allows us to decline other events for that time slot. Please note that for all services, agency fees are due and non-refundable, even in the event of cancellation.
• Cancellation and Refund: Our cancellation policy is directly based on that of the activity provider. The specific terms and conditions for your reservation are available upon request.
• Ticket Sales: Admission tickets for monuments or attractions are non-refundable, unless the site has a special refund policy (in which case, the refund will be issued after deducting our agency fees).
• Special Orders and Related Costs: Services that involve the delivery of physical items, such as personalized gifts or special requests, are non-refundable after purchase.
• Force Majeure: The agency shall not be held liable for events resulting from force majeure, including, but not limited to, natural disasters, political or social unrest, strikes, epidemics or pandemics, as well as unexpected closures of monuments or streets, or delays by service providers.
