Compose your stay on 1 or more destinations:

Ostia
The shore of Ostia stretches out its vast sandy beaches just 30 km from Rome and is very easy to reach. It’s not the prettiest of beaches, but it’s one of the most popular!
Nearby you can also discover the archaeological site of Ostia Antica.

Fregene, Maccarese and Cerveteri
Nearby, the beaches of Fregene, Maccarese and Cerveteri also offer beautiful beaches, equipped with lidos (Italian bathing establishments) to enjoy a lunch or an aperitif and all the services (deckchairs, umbrellas, changing rooms, etc.). If you want to extend your day at the beach until late, this is the ideal place due to a young and festive atmosphere!
Must do: take to the open sea aboard a small sailing boat!

Santa Severa and Santa Marinella
Quieter than the previous ones (but quite busy all the same), the beach of Santa Severa is bordered by a castle which gives it a particular charm and allows you to combine culture and sunbathing.
Santa Marinella is one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the region, very popular in July and August.
Must Do: Both Santa Marinella and Santa Severa beaches are popular with surfers.

Anzio and Nettuno
To the south of the Italian capital are two beaches that nature lovers love: Anzio Beach and Nettuno Beach because they offer a wilder setting than the previous ones.
Today, together with Nettuno, Anzio is a seaside resort with a marina and access to the island of Ponza.
Note: Anzio beach is Blue Flag, an environmental label guaranteeing the quality of the place!
Must Do: Have a seafood lunch by the sea!

Sabaudia
If you are looking for some peace and quiet, Sabaudia is for you. The spacious coastline stretches between the sea and a long lake, all overlooked by Mount Circeus, where according to Homer, Ulysses and his crew met the famous witch!
Must Do: Start your day with a hike to the top of Mount before soaking up the sun on the beach.

Gaeta
A little further south, towards Naples, Gaeta is a medieval city with clear waters.
The city offers 7 magnificent beaches including Serapo, a sandy beach near the city center, and Fontania, a small beach located to the north-west, accessible on foot or by swimming.
Between two swims, you can stroll through the city streets and admire the remains of a magnificent Roman villa from the 1st century AD.
Must do: organize a visit with one of our guides to the Montagna Spaccata (the broken mountain), a beautiful cove.

Ponza
For a longer getaway and away from the masses of the Roman coastline, take a boat to Ponza Island! Its incredible beauty, its small port and its numerous coves make these fishing islands a very popular destination. The island of only 8 km2 is bordered by rocky and sandy beaches, natural arches all surrounded by a crystal clear sea.
In the south-east of the island, the village of the same name emerges as an amphitheater of houses with brightly colored facades, enclosing a small fishing port
Must do: take a boat tour of the island to access hidden coves
